The problem with this beer is that it’s still called Bo & Luke. I remember this name as a heavy, boozy, barrel-aged imperial stout that tipped the scales on my love for craft beer and only craft beer (and boozy stouts) over 5 years ago. So, I naturally grabbed this bottle on my way out of Against The Grain earlier this summer without paying attention to anything but the Bo & Luke on the bottle. My fault! Upon further inspection by my tongue and mouth hole, it’s a thinner, amburana-aged smoked stout that tastes like I just hoovered a campfire. 🔥 If you love smoked beers, this is for you. If you have deep feelings for classic Bo & Luke beers, know what you’re getting into. Whoops. - Ryan
