Hell Hazed Over, from local ambigram-logo-having brewery Alter, was an epic start to a night out with ONLY ONE CHILD. I felt like every parent was staring at how relaxed I was, and paying attention to how many times I DID NOT HAVE TO REPEAT MYSELF. We stopped at Sovereign in Plainfield, IL, and went to TOWN on them grubs, which was incredible as always, but I gotta give props for something else. Props to Sovereign for always having perfect glassware for every beer. No matter the style, pour size, style-specific temperature, or position on the hype train, y’all deliver beer how it was intended. And I appreciate the hell out of that.
