Along an industrial road in the small town of Murphysboro, Illinois, one can roll into a gravel parking lot and get absolutely obliterated on locally brewed goodies here at Big Muddy. Fortunately, it’s nice and airy inside, because the weather turned on us and the wind out there is no joke.
We all had mixed feelings about the beer here. The pils bangs in ways mostly solid, the amber-red-bock (they actually had all three names on that one) could have been better, the stouts were off a bit, and the galaxy IPA kept us coming back for more. I definitely see the bright side here, I just want some better quality on the not-so-bright ones.
Also, the flatbreads bang. Hard. Also, my sister was super kerfluffled that they had all these local spirits that she wasn’t allowed to try because laws and whatever. Cheers and whatnots! - Ryan
