Kinda weird to drink a winter porter named Klaus at this time of year. But, you know what else is weird? It’s spring and we’re in a pandemic and it fucking snowed last month in certain places, which is complete and utter bullshitness. So, it is with those thoughts that I enjoy Klaus in honor of my friends from Finland to Toronto to New York and Chicago and wherever else, who had to put up with garbage-ass snowflakes when spring is already well on its way and we’re all already depressed because we’re locked in our homes like rats in science labs. Oh, and the beer? It is a yummy porter. There’s no bullshit here, just straight-up classic flavors of light coffee- and choco-ness with a very porter mouth feel and smooth imbibernationtion. Even though I prefer heavy stouts, this is a bridge well-balanced between those and the other side of the beer darkness scale. - @jetsliketaxis
