Ang and I hopped in the ol’ hybrid and drove to Moraga, California, on a beautiful, sunny day, to sit on the patio of Canyon Club and vibe with their juices. We had a triple from them at a craft bar recently, and it gave us the gigs. That said, this space is fricking tight. Nice design, major patio awards, yada yada. And this is where the shit hit the fan because the beers we had were both bunk as hell. Off-balance with that dirty taste you don’t wanna taste, especially when you’re trying to catch a buzz in the sunny sun sun sun. Both the IPL and the IPA were not mouth pleasers, and we didn’t finish either one. Since they don’t have halves or flights, we were stuck with pints that left us wanting. On top of that, this tiny-ass smaller than a ballpark pretzel but more expensive than a ballpark pretzel was eight bucks. EIGHT BUCKS. I’m not one to complain about price, but come the fuck on. The two-buck beer cheese covered in a layer of oil and also containing a random piece of pulled pork didn’t help the matter, either. Didn’t have it, warned Ang not to. 🤷🏻♀️ WTF is even going on here. We bounced. I hate being a hater because I value hard work and opportunity and everyone deserves chances. I’m sorry, but I’m also sorry that the only brewery near this town can’t come correct. Guess that aforementioned triple we previously had was the anomaly. I mean, worth trying? Sure. could have been a shit day. YMMV and all. It just...wasn’t something I want again until things change. We headed to a tap room to get some shit done right and reclaim our day. - Ryan
