After getting our tongues tickled by our hotel fridge of Del Cielo goodness in Oakland, we figured we should make our way to the source up here in Martinez, California. SMORT MOVE. “Del Cielo” means from heaven, and their tag line is “Beer From Heaven,” just in case you have no longer retained anything from high school Spanish except for YO QUIERO TACOS. (For the record, I do in fact want tacos.) I appreciate that Marc here knew what hops are in most of these beers, making it easier for me to choose which to have because I had to drive, which is dumb. Everything Ang and I tried was baller AF, especially Stratagic Operations, which is way harder to say than you would think. And, Double Mo 7, a bold as hell DIPA with Mosaic and Idaho 7, which we also took home a 4-pack of, because DIPA with Mosaic and Idaho 7. Big shouts to Marc and John, and the beer, and also the sausage on that pretzel and sausage plate. Straight fire, y’all. - Ryan
