I know I should have posted this around 4/20, but I didn’t even really notice the date this year because I didn’t even notice the date this year. Nothing really feels like it should be celebrated. Except people that are no longer here. They should be celebrated. I’d like to think that this year’s Dubba Nick SMD420KGDS was brewed for those we’ve lost that we can’t get together to honor. It was dank perf. Again. You know that already. But this year’s SMD felt deliciously mature. It’s like those of us who give a fuck about our fellow man and also happen to make delicious beer are making delicious beer and caring about our fellow man like it’s just what the homies do. Those not doing that, not homies. We’ll peer pressure those chumps into recognizing humanity as important, and that just being a good human is the baseline expectation for one another. Wanna be one of the homies? Quick being a racist sack of shit. Sorry to make a reefer IPA into something humanitarian. Also, not sorry. - @joelfrieders
