Stopped into Dry City in downtown Wheaton, IL, and went from, “Oh hey, I dig me some Dry City,” to, “OH GOD, THEY BREW A BLACK IPA AND THEY DON’T HAVE ANY SIGNS POSTED THAT SAY I HAVE TO HAVE PANTS ON WHILE IMBIBING. Adopt me!”
Seriously though...I ran into the brewer, Oliver, at the Gang Of Youth show a few weeks back and we became best beer buds in the span of like three hours. I dared him to show me his Black IPA skills and HOLY MALTY DRY BITTER CREAMY BALLS, this BIPA is better than anything I’ve had locally ever. No BS.
Dry City has evolved from offering just a few beers into dropping a constant supply of new and delicious beers on the reg, including the coffee stout and the IPA they had on tap that I was able to sample in two adorable swills. Oliver let me check out their new space off of the main brewery space, and told me their bingo and trivia nights are a blast and they’re running out of more and more beers more and more often. LET THE CRAFT BEER MARKET REJOICE!
Seriously, I was so impressed with their County Seat Heist Black IPA that I had to snag a growly and I had to enjoy it without pants. Super thanks to Oliver and Dry City for the hospitality! - Joel
