If you live in the Chicago area, you might have seen posts about the drop from Foreign Exchange for the single release of Kittywampus Imperial Coffee Porter with vanilla and milk sugar. There’s a reason. This isn’t simply a new stop for the hype train. This is the product of a guy who has brewed all over the area, just as a fan of beer and what goes into it, that accidentally turned into an entire industry supporting this “just a fan” who wound up brewing seriously incredible beers. I wouldn’t be far off when I say that the people who “allowed” him to brew alongside them were often miffed at his understanding and appreciation for the craft we all slurp down without a second thought as to what went into it. To Ricky, you fucking did it. This beer is even better than I remember and I couldn’t be prouder of your drive, your creativity, and the art you put into each of your beers. You’re a true fan turned pro, and we won’t let you stop making beer like this as long as everything tastes this inspired.
