BIAS ALERT! In an effort to remain as transparent as a crispy lager, I would like to inform you of my complete bias towards both the The Burger Social AND Grist House. Not only am I connected to The Burger Social through my undying love and adoration of their cauliflower tots, but I also helped see them open in December of 2017 and am personally responsible for the lack of blue painter’s tape on the tile near the front entrance. In regards to Grist House, they sent a porch bomb beer-care package to Hopsmash and I hastily drank and vocally loved their beers before even learning of their upcoming Illinois debut at The Burger Social.
THAT BEING SAID, holy balls on a baby blue Buick, this is a match made in burger & beer heaven, yo. Pair ANY of the incredible Social burgers (although I recommend the Gabagool) with ANY of the incredible Grist House beers (although I recommend the Hazedelic Juice Grenade), and you're 76% more likely to have that creepy "fat & happy" grin on your face for the foreseeable future. Swing through The Burger Social THIS THIRSTDAY, MARCH 28TH, 2019 - that’s today! - and introduce yourself to Mike from The Burger Social (bald head, ginger beard, super-great hugs) and Zach from Grist House (never seen him in person, but local lore tells me he smells of a rich mahogany) and tell them Hopsmash sent you and YOU MIGHT JUST EARN YOURSELF SOME HOPSWAG!
