Andreas from BrewHeart aka my brother from another mother, took us on a rural Bavarian jaunt that ended up at the taproom and brewery of Hoppebräu in the village of Waakirchen. SOMEONE forgot to check to see if they were open, but we got lucky because Markus - the mastermind of the operation - was around and was nice enough to let us in anyway. Thanks to Andreas. Man, this space is dope as hell. They really straddle the line perfectly between hip 2020 craft brewery and traditional Bavarian, both in the space and the beer. And because we’re fortunate sons and daughters, we got to try a few goodies straight from the tank. Nom nom nommering was in full effect. We grabbed a bunch to go as well since we couldn’t guzzle anything back in the taproom on their day off. Many, many thanks and hugs to Markus.
