Got to sneak over to Oswego the other day to sample the latest can release, Happy Axe. LOOK AT THAT BRIGHT YELLOW SWEAT OF THE GODS! GALDAAAAAAMN! At 9.8%, this baby isn’t for morning sipping without plans for a nappy after brunch. On the flavor tip, brewer Marc was telling me they went with an old-school hop bill with a bit of lactose, and the resulting flavor is lemony and bright without being tart or sour. Sweetly perfect in my opinion. Getting this straight out of the fermenter with just a touch of carbonation, I knew right away that it’ll be a can release to scoop no question.
