I came <this> close to ordering the Tap 9 eisbock version of this beer, because I’m a glutton for gluttony. But, I figured Ang wouldn’t wanna drink that with me. So, I settled for this one, which is their Tap 6 doppelbock that most certainly tastes all of the 8.2% it carries. I found it a bit punchy and fruity at the beginning, but warmed up to it as it warmed up to me and warmed up in general. They say it’s perfect for “golden moments by the fireplace,” which is an insane proposition given that its 90°F outside. But! If I ever - god forbid - find myself needing the warmth of a fireplace again, I definitely want this beer with me. Also, they’ve been brewing this beer since 1907!
