Head to the very edge of South Lake Tahoe, literally within spitting distance of Nevada, and you’ll find yourself at the ballsdope space that is South Of North. There’s nothing to dislike about this place. Branding, patio, its attachment to a cool hotel, it’s all just...niiiiice. And hey, the beers are good, too! Living that bonus life, y’all. Ang went straight for the IPAs, while I wanted a more comprehensive approach with a flight since I had to drive and wanted to run through some different styles. Everything was good. Yay! That coffee coconut brown hits, man. I wanna shout out the Pink Boots cherry pecan hazy pale ale as well. So damn weird, but also inoffensive! I had to try it because it’s a PBS beer, and I thought I’d hate it because who wants that flavor combo in their beer? I was pleasantly surprised. Nice. Next time, we’re 1000% staying in the city - maybe even here - because I just can’t be forced to be reasonable with my consumption when there’s so much goodness to drink.
