Not many people say they went to Napa for the beer. But, I can say that. Ang and I had a few hours to kill before our next stop, so we swung through town to hit Stone Napa because Stone and because beer and because I’m not staying at some fancy winery during a pandemic. This space is the tits. It’s an old 1800s something or other that I don’t remember, but what I do remember is my thick as thieves flight of IPAs and a stout, a goddamn gratifying lunch, and views of the river while the rain spat at us outside and called us weaklings for hating the cold weather. The only disappointment of the day was that I couldn’t get their BBA imperial stout to go, and I will not forgive them for not offering to trade a crowler of that for some American dollars. Le sad. Aaanyway, I’m happy to have finally been able to visit a Stone location, and happy to have drunk all of their meticulously produced goodness. - Ryan
