I finally got to try Sudden Death for the first time! These guys are on top of their game in Germany, and my go-to online store got some in stock. I hate to say it, but this beer completely and absolutely wrecked the shit out of our palates in such a big way that we couldn’t enjoy another beer all evening. And you know what it was? The oats. The fucking oats! The oat bill on this beer was so goddamn potent in flavor and smell that we couldn’t even get into the flavors of its three-hop DDH. Or the 8.5% ABV. Which is sad. I am 100% hoping and 83% positive that I got a bad can, because it’s by Sudden Death and I’m told they wreck shit (in a good way, not in the way our palates got wrecked on this sad occasion). So, I will forgive them and forgive transport and continue to seek out more of their beers. And maybe, one day, if the world opens up again, I’ll actually get back to Germany as planned and crush some freshies in person. 😟 - @jetsliketaxis
