The Bruery - La Capilla Tequila Barrel-Aged Sour Blonde Ale

The Bruery - La Capilla Tequila Barrel-Aged Sour Blonde Ale

This face puncher was inspired by the paloma cocktail, which I’ve never had because tequila is my kryptonite. 🍹 I went in anyway, but I never even cause close to thinking I’d like a tequila barrel-aged sour with lime and grapefruit. ❌ And I was right - I hated it. ❌ But alas! I am not the arbiter of what is good and bad compared to what my palate enjoys. Facts. This is a funky AF, very well made beer, and if you like reaaaally sour ones, this is all for you. 💯 Notably, I did not get much tequila, nor much tequila barrel, in the flavors I flavorized. I mostly just got hit in the mouth with sourness while the lime and grapefruit came in from the side to sucker punch me. 😖😖😖😖😖 Definitely something I will once again recommend to you sour fans out there, while totally staying away from it until meter for masochism desire goes all the way back to 100. *bondage emoji* - Ryan
