Rolled back into Toppling Goliath for the first time in 2 years. The new location is maaaaaassive. The old one was tiny as hell and in downtown Decorah, and it was ‘fun’ to watch all the fans stand in line for like 82 days to get a release. I just can’t do that shit. (Props to those who do, I guess?) The new spot has ample room for all those lines and all that waiting. And for chillin’ all day. Honestly, I’ve never been a huge fan of the beer - even though they make some good shit - and have often gotten jacked cans or bottles.
But! We went anyway because I wanted to mess around with them again. The tap list is massive and there’s definitely everything for everyone. We messed with some IPAs and stouts and they were all solid. I just honestly wish there was more focus on quality control before expanding like mad. Too many stories of bad cans or bottles or even kegs. Let’s work on that, y’all. Shouts out to all the customers in these photos!
