It shouldn’t take an initiative like this. But it does. And we all need to understand how critical projects like these are for moving our society forward and recognizing the systemic racism and oppression that exists in the U.S. and elsewhere. And we all need to do what we can to shed light on it and do our part in fighting the injustices that black people face every day in America and the world. Weathered Souls started the Black Is Beautiful project to do just that: To raise awareness and raise funds for police reform and legal defense for those who have been and continue to be wronged by this broken system. So far, hundreds of breweries have joined this effort and will be brewing their own version of this beer, with all proceeds going to these causes that matter most.
