Fox River - Reel It In Session IPA

I love hanging out at Fox River up in Wisconsin. They have a crazy huge space, a lawn the size of a football field, and docks so you can just roll up in your boat and grab some brews. It’s so…Wisconsin. Their beers, however, have never been anything that blew me away. Serviceable? Yes. Decent, even? Also yes. But, it’s more their vibe and their great people than it is their beer. And, I’d like all three.

This is my first of theirs in over two years – thanks Covid – but I had no problem reeling it into my mouth and enjoying it. It’s way stronger in flavor than I expected, but that could also be from its “aging” in Ben’s fridge for who knows how long. I’m not complaining, because I hate when sessions taste too light. It’s not gonna win your award for fave seshie of the day, but it’s also not gonna piss you off. And, that’s okay by me. Now then, who has a boat and also wants to be my friend? – Ryan
