Riverlands, Brother Chimp & 93 Octane - Rolling Down Randall Cold IPA

Rant before beer. 🚨 “Cold IPA” is one of the dumbest beer marketing terms of all time. I don’t care what you tell me, it’s a fucking IPL. I get that the “IPA” name is easier to sell these days, but goddamn people need to be more open to the glory hole that is the IPL. It’s probably my favorite beer style. And, I don’t wanna hear whatever bullshit nuance or slight change that cold IPA makers want to use to say it’s not an IPL. It’s a fucking IPL. The “higher ABV” shit doesn’t fly either; Sudwerk in California has been making single and double and triple IPLs forever (and they’re god-tier).

Right, so now that we have that out of the way, let me introduce you to the first beer I’ve ever had that’s labeled a cold IPA. It’s by Riverlands, which anyone who’s breathing knows you can trust ‘til the end of the world. Oh, also, it’s a collab with the also-fresh Brother Chimp, as well as 93 Octane, whom I’ve never heard of until I read this can. And, my god, they completely and utterly destroyed this beer. In all the right ways. Crisp AF and hoppy AF and clean AF with so much gosh darn flavor that I stripped down completely nekkid and rolled around in the mud and didn’t even need to wash myself after because of the perfect shine on this bish, which was now inside me. This beer is a GODDAMN QUEEN. 👸 A great IPL that I want over and over again. In fact, I went back to buy another 4-pack and crushed that, too. 😉 – Ryan
